Frequently Asked Questions
The practical details before trying or buying KeeperHawk.
Compatibility
- What is KeeperHawk for?
- KeeperHawk is for scanning photo folders or camera cards, reviewing bursts and similar frames, marking keepers, and exporting the selected photos for the next editing step.
- Does it work on Windows?
- No. The current release is macOS only.
- Does it need macOS permissions?
- KeeperHawk needs access to the folders, cards or drives you choose for scanning and export. It does not need to upload your photos.
- What formats can it review?
- The app is built around local RAW and JPEG culling on macOS, with previews generated on demand and source files left untouched.
Licensing
- What does the license include?
- A perpetual license for the version you buy, one year of downloadable updates, and two activations by default.
- How do updates work?
- KeeperHawk checks for updates and shows a notice when a newer eligible installer is available. The notice opens the download page so you can install the current version over your existing copy.
- Can I try it before buying?
- Yes. The installer includes a 14-day trial so you can test it with your own shoots.
- Can I update during the trial?
- Yes. An active trial can use the current installer. After the trial ends, activate a paid license to keep using KeeperHawk and receive included updates.
- Can I edit offline?
- Yes. The license system uses offline access windows so travel and field work do not block normal editing.
- Can I move to another Mac?
- Yes. Deactivate the old Mac first. If that is not possible, contact support.
Privacy and support
- Does KeeperHawk upload photos?
- No. The licensing service does not upload your photos, folders, camera-card contents or private creative work.
- What should I send for support?
- Your purchase email, macOS version, KeeperHawk version, camera or source type, and whether the issue is installation, activation, scanning, AI review or export. Use the support form so we have the details in one place.
